Koss Joins Terracon as Senior Project Manager
CLEVELAND, Ohio --- Michael J. Koss has joined Terracon as a senior project manager. He is based in Terracon's Cleveland office. Koss's responsibilities include scheduling, technical review, report and proposal preparation, and business development.
Koss has 22 years of experience in the environmental industry. His experience includes underground storage tank compliance; Phase I and II environmental site assessments; remedial design, implementation and maintenance; CERCLA/RCRA investigations; and involvement with the Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program.
Koss obtained a Bachelor of Arts in geology from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.

Hoffman Joins Terracon as Senior Staff Geologist
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Jamie L. Hoffman has joined Terracon as a senior staff geologist. She is based in Terracon's Minneapolis office. In her role, Hoffman oversees drilling, collects environmental samples in the field, conducts Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs), and is responsible for generating environmental reports.
Hoffman has four years of experience in the environmental industry. She has experience with petroleum, chlorinated solvent, and manufactured gas plant remediation as well as due diligence Phase I and II ESAs. She has been involved in preparing grant applications for the Ohio Brownfields grants and for the Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program. Her experience also includes landfill monitoring and reporting; collection of soil, soil gas, groundwater, and surface water sheen samples; and excavation oversight.
Hoffman earned a Master of Science in geological sciences from the University of Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in geology from the University of Akron.

Richard Joins Terracon as Florida Brownfields Manager
TAMPA, Fla. --- Belinda S. Richard has joined Terracon as manager of the Florida Brownfields Program. She is based out of Terracon's Tampa office. She will manage brownfield grant writing and program development efforts. She will continue to assist communities in the development and/or implementation of their brownfields program.
Richard has 16 years of environmental experience with more than eight years of experience managing brownfields projects throughout Florida and EPA Region 4. She has provided brownfields program management assistance to 20 brownfields grant programs. Her experience includes project management, quality assurance project plans (QAPPs), grant compliance and reporting, budget management, brownfields inventories, community outreach, environmental site assessments, brownfields site rehabilitation agreements (BSRAs), and grant closeouts.
Richard is a former board member and current member of the Florida Brownfields Association. She is also a member of the Tampa Bay Association of Environmental Professionals (TBAEP). She earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville.

Terracon Establishes Presence in New Jersey to Expand and Enhance Service Offerings
OLATHE, Kan. --- Terracon Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of its New Jersey North office in South Plainfield, N.J. As Terracon's newest office, the New Jersey North location serves to expand and enhance the company's service offerings throughout the state and Northeast region. Clients in New Jersey, New York, eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware now have access to additional Terracon resources based even closer to their facilities.

Terracon's Baton Rouge Office Promotes Two Employees
BATON ROUGE, La. --- Terracon's Baton Rouge office recently promoted two employees: Lynne Roussel, P.E., and Tom Vrenick.
Lynne Roussel, P.E. was promoted to geotechnical department manager. Roussel was previously a project geotechnical engineer. She has been with the firm for nine years. She has been exposed to a wide variety of field and office engineering projects during her time with Terracon. She has managed projects for local governments and city parish, industrial clients, oil and gas clients, and commercial sector. Roussel is a member of Louisiana Engineering Society, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and Society of Women Engineers.
Tom Vrenick was promoted to construction materials engineering and testing department manager II. Vrenick was previously a special projects manager. He has been with the firm for 24 years performing assignments that have included soil borings, inclinometer, piezometer and monitor well installations. More recently, he has been managing the construction testing and monitoring of projects including the new Livingston Parish Courthouse, the Central Intermediate and Middle Schools, and the Presonus Building.
