Silica
On March 24, 2016, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued its final regulation to limit worker exposure to crystalline silica, amending a standard that has been in place since 1971. If your business performs work that generates dust, this regulation could apply to you. Services we offer include:
- Reviewing your current operations and make recommendations that will help you comply with the new regulation
- Helping you write an exposure control plan
- Collecting air samples to determine if your workers are over exposed to silica
- Training your staff on the hazards of silica and the requirements of the new regulation
- Helping select and design engineering controls
- Developing a respiratory protection program

Microbial Assessments (Mold)
Among our extensive IH/occupational and safety offerings, microbial assessments – identifying and remediating mold – address an increasingly common need for a variety of facility types. Undesirable conditions such as odors, occupant perceptions of poor air quality, and visible mold growth are generally indicators of a breach or failure in one or more building systems. Improperly functioning heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and deficiencies in building operation, maintenance, design, or construction can contribute to excess moisture accumulation, building-related health complaints, and indoor mold growth. We can assist you with:
- Site Investigation
- Bio-sample Collection
- Sampling of Airborne
- Chemicals and Particles
- Forensic Investigations
- Air Quality Parameters
- Property Condition Assessments
- Mold Remediation Design, Oversight, and Air Monitoring
