RE+ 2023

September 11, 2023 - September 14, 2023

Join us at RE+ 2023 — Booth 3464

Solar energy is becoming one of the world’s largest sources of electricity. Terracon is uniquely qualified to respond, helping you save time and money by minimizing risk during design and permitting. We have supported more than 5,100 solar projects across 48 states and understand the challenges of project siting and foundation optimization. Our solar services increase clarity during project development and optimize solutions during design. In addition, our “gate stop” approach allows you to make informed decisions throughout your project’s life cycle.

Our booth will be hosting a staff of over 20 Terracon subject matter experts in geosciences, geohazards, foundation optimization, environment permitting and planning, site selection, predictive analytics, pavement mitigation, and program management.  Come see our Pile Load Testing tripod and test your skills in our soils laboratory.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH FEDERAL FUNDING

Federal funding for renewable energy projects is available through a variety of programs. Award recipients are required to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) once funds are approved. Documentation, timelines, and compliance requirements vary depending on the project.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF A KARST SURVEY, CONSTRUCTION MONITORING, AND CONSERVATION PLAN FOR SOLAR SITES

Construction in karst terrains can present a challenge to development, and the energy industry has become increasingly aware of the impact, both to the site infrastructure and to human health and the environment. Terracon has developed a more systematic approach implementing survey, risk analysis, and construction monitoring measures during ground disturbance activities to reduce the risk of karst issues.
