AUSTIN, Texas — Terracon, a leading provider of environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services, has named Matt McElvogue, P.E., as national director for its building enclosure practice.
McElvogue joined Building Exterior Solutions (BES) in 2010, and was part of its acquisition by Terracon in January 2016. His primary focus is forensics/engineering investigation and assessment with emphasis on analysis, evaluation, and design of cladding and waterproofing systems. McElvogue has served as BES Safety Program Manager, and as a structures specialist with the State of Texas and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with Texas Task Force One (Urban Search and Rescue).
“I’ve been privileged to have worked with great organizations over the years and have seen first-hand what builds those companies,” McElvogue said. “It’s thrilling to have the opportunity to help grow a relatively new team in building enclosure consulting into the nationally recognized practice deserving of the Terracon name.”
McElvogue has more than 24 years of experience in engineering and nearly 30 years in the construction industry, and is a licensed professional engineer in nine states. He is also a registered waterproofing consultant and a registered roof observer. He earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas.
