Terracon Foundation Awards Grant to the Engineering Foundation of St. Louis
ST. LOUIS, Mo. --- The Terracon Foundation recently awarded a community grant in the amount of $5,000 to the Engineering Foundation of St. Louis. The grant will be used to assist in the renovations of the organization's facility.
The Terracon Foundation community grant supports local, nonprofit programs with active engagement of Terracon employees in communities where they live and work.
The Engineering Foundation of St. Louis was established by the Engineers' Club of St. Louis in 1978 to further the purposes of the engineering profession through technical excellence, moral responsibility, and community service. The Foundation supports educational programs and services for engineers, engineering supervisors and managers, business, government, and the general public.
Jesse Kocher, P.E., from Terracon's St. Louis office, is involved with the organization and championed the grant. Bob Welsch, P.E., president of Engineering Foundation of St. Louis, proudly accepted the award.
"The Engineering Foundation of St. Louis has a long history of serving the community we live in. Our goal is to create a space available for not only the engineering community to use, but also a space for educating and inspiring the engineers of the future. The employees of the St. Louis office of Terracon demonstrated their commitment to that goal by engaging their corporate foundation for support," said Welsch.
The Terracon Foundation was established in 2008 and expanded considerably in 2012 to provide a broader range of grant opportunities. The Terracon Foundation also provides national partner grants, university grants, and employee-dependent scholarships.

Terracon Foundation Awards Grant to the Hitchcock Free Academy
BOSTON, Mass. --- The Terracon Foundation recently awarded a community grant in the amount of $3,500 to the Hitchcock Free Academy. The grant will be used to install a new ADA accessible sidewalk, which will become the main walkway for all program participants and help to make necessary repairs to the organization's facility.
The Terracon Foundation community grant supports local, nonprofit programs with active engagement of Terracon employees in communities where they live and work.
Hitchcock Free Academy's mission is to enrich the lives of the community members by providing educational, recreational, and cultural programs to residents of all ages from Brimfield, Holland, Sturbridge, Wales, and the surrounding communities.
Stephen Lanne, P.E., from Terracon's Boston-Metro office, is involved with the organization and championed the grant. Sue Gregory, executive director of Hitchcock Free Academy, proudly accepted the award.
"We are very grateful to the Terracon Foundation for such a generous gift. The Hitchcock Academy is a community center that provides so many wonderful programs for people of all ages and is such a large part of our community. This grant will help fund building repair projects that otherwise may not have been possible," said Gregory.

Terracon Foundation Awards Grant to the La Center Education Foundation
PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Terracon Foundation recently awarded a community grant in the amount of $2,500 to the La Center Education Foundation. The grant will be used for repairs and renovations of the La Center School District's softball and baseball fields.
The Terracon Foundation community grant supports local, nonprofit programs with active engagement of Terracon employees in communities where they live and work.
La Center Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for the La Center School District.
Martin Eversaul, R.G., from Terracon's Portland office, is involved with the organization and championed the grant. Staci Firl, president of La Center Education Foundation, proudly accepted the award.
"In the spirit of an old fashioned barn raising and with the generous support of volunteers and companies such as Terracon, the Wildcats' Athletic Facilities Project at La Center High School is becoming a reality. This is a project two decades in the making; thanks for being a part of it," said Firl.

Terracon Foundation Awards Grant to the Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. --- The Terracon Foundation recently awarded a community grant in the amount of $3,500 to the Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma.
The grant will be used to obtain rental space, training materials, speakers, educational materials, registration systems, and student communications for the Building Better Neighborhoods training sessions. Building Better Neighborhoods is a series of 25 educational workshops annually, impacting thousands of citizens in the community by giving them the tools and support to affect place-based change in their own neighborhoods.

Neighborhood Alliance of Oklahoma City's mission is to educate citizens, enabling them to create sustainable change through educational and support programs. The training and connections allow neighborhood leaders to work alongside police, fire, school administrators, city officials, corporations, nonprofits, and foundations to create safer, more beautiful, and healthier neighborhoods in Oklahoma. The organization aims to empower and educate citizens to become neighborhood leaders.
Benjamin Olszewski, from Terracon's Oklahoma City office, is involved with the organization and championed the grant. Georgie Rasco, executive director of Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma, proudly accepted the award.
"The Terracon Foundation's support helps citizens of Oklahoma City make their neighborhoods more than a community, but a place to call home," said Rasco.

PHARR, Texas --- The Terracon Foundation recently awarded a community grant in the amount of $2,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of Pharr. The grant will be used assist in providing afterschool homework assistance and tutoring to the community's youth.
The Terracon Foundation community grant supports local, nonprofit programs with active engagement of Terracon employees in communities where they live and work.
The Boys & Girls Club of Pharr's mission is to enable all young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Jorge A. Flores, from Terracon's Pharr office, is involved with the organization and championed the grant. Alfredo Mata, Jr., executive director the Boys & Girls Club, proudly accepted the award.
"We are very fortunate to have Terracon support our Boys & Girls Club. Through this grant, hundreds of community youth will receive valuable homework assistance and tutoring services," said Mata.
